Lankong's Overseas Expansion - Thailand
Thailand is located at the core of the Indochina Peninsula, facing the Gulf of Thailand in the Pacific Ocean in the southeast and the Andaman Sea in the Indian Ocean in the southwest. Its superior geographical location gives it abundant natural resources such as wind energy, solar energy, and biomass. It is the intersection of the Maritime Silk Road of the "Belt and Road" and the ASEAN Economic Community, and an important channel connecting the Chinese and ASEAN markets.
The "Belt and Road" is a major globalization strategy of my country, and biomass energy is one of the 23 strategic emerging industry directions identified by the country. With the rapid development of biomass energy technology in my country, exchanges and cooperation with the "Belt and Road" countries are urgent and broad. Through the comparison and analysis of the world's biomass production capacity data, four countries in the "Belt and Road", namely Indonesia, Thailand, Poland, and India, were selected to explore their cooperation prospects with my country in biomass energy.
Thailand, a tropical country with a forest coverage rate of 25%, relies on agriculture and animal husbandry as key economic pillars. It has abundant biomass resources, such as palm leaves, agricultural waste, straw, and wood processing by-products, which provide sufficient raw materials for biomass power generation. According to statistics from the Thai Ministry of Energy, Thailand produces about 120 million tons of agricultural waste annually , which can be converted into biomass energy after processing.
Mitr Phol, a Thai sugar company under the Charoen Pokphand Group, is headquartered in Thailand and currently ranks among the largest sugar and bioenergy suppliers in Asia. The Mitr PHOL biomass power plant project in Thailand uses my country's renewable resource technology to generate biomass energy and achieve effective utilization of crop waste. Its implementation can not only provide clean electricity locally, but also promote the green development of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Lankong produces and supplies a batch of DC power supply devices for the biomass power plant project, contributing to energy development.
